Best 20 places to live in the world announced, but list causes great controversy
UK property managers call for creation of estate agents register
Keep up to date with all the latest developments in the property sector and in our company.
Mercer's Best 20 list for Forbes magazine has provoked outrage by failing to include a single UK, French, Spanish or even American city. The survey considered quality of life as its determining factor, and emphasised urban transport as part of that criteria. Still, it seems a bit biased that so many German and Swiss cities made the grade.
Pressure is growing from property managers calling for the creation of a Register for all practising estate agents. The move comes as the sector tries to increase transparency and guarantee contracts to get sales moving again.
